Closets for a Cause – The Bennett Project
Saint Louis Closet Co. is proud to partner with a nonprofit each month through our giveback initiative Closets for a Cause. To date, $59,976 has been donated to nonprofits in Saint Louis! In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we’re donating a portion of all September sales to The Bennett Project! The Bennett Project
Founded in 2019, The Bennett Project supports children with pediatric cancer and their families throughout the St. Louis region. This volunteer-led organization currently has 61 families, with a total of 200 kids, registered in their program. They support hundreds of additional kids undergoing active treatment with their programs at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and the Cardinal Kids Cancer Center at Mercy Children’s Hospital.
Plans for Funds Raised
Children going through cancer treatments face incredibly rough days ahead of them. As the hospital stays grow long, treatments can often stretch over months or even years. However, at Saint Louis Closet Co., we actively strive to support these children and their families during these trying times. Through Closets for a Cause, we aim to make a meaningful impact. Funds raised will directly support programs by The Bennett Project, such as providing financial assistance, organizing annual toy and gift card drives for children undergoing treatment, hosting quarterly social events for families, and offering birthday club memberships for patients and their siblings.

We always say, COVID hasn’t stopped cancer, and our families still need assistance each and every day in the fight for their lives!” said Debbie Schultz, Treasurer for The Bennett Project. “As a 100% volunteer-run organization, any money that is raised through the exciting opportunity will go straight to supporting our programs in the St. Louis area. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so this month we GO GOLD for all our cancer warriors. What a great month to partner with Saint Louis Closet Co!”
