Saint Louis Closet Co. Collects Over $5000 in School Supply Donations for KidSmart

This summer, Saint Louis Closet Co. served as a drop-off location for KidSmart STL’s back-to-school supply drive. From July 10 through September 5, our showroom in Maplewood became a hub of generosity as customers, and community members came together to support local students in need.

By the end of the drive, we were thrilled to collect:

• $4,200 in checks payable to KidSmart

• Over 600 items in school supplies and backpacks

These donations will go directly to KidSmart, Missouri’s only free educational supply store, which works tirelessly to ensure children across the St. Louis region have access to the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.

Closets for a Cause: Supporting Kids Year-Round

This donation effort was part of Closets for a Cause, Saint Louis Closet Co.’s monthly giving and community outreach program. Each month, we select a local nonprofit to support through financial contributions, product donations, or awareness efforts. In addition, by making KidSmart our focus during the back-to-school season, we were able to connect even more families with the resources they need to thrive.

Why KidSmart Matters

Far too many children start school without basic supplies. Thankfully, KidSmart bridges this gap for students and teachers. However, because of your generosity, hundreds of children will now walk into class better prepared to learn and succeed.

A Community Effort

At Saint Louis Closet Co., giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do. Owner Jennifer Williams shared,

“Our community always steps up in a big way, and this year’s support for KidSmart was no exception. We are so grateful to our customers, neighbors, and friends who contributed to help children start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.”
